Willex Electrical is a Perth-based, locally owned electrical and communications company delivering high-quality electrical, air conditioning, EV charging, and solar battery solutions across Western Australia.
Founded in July 2021 by qualified electrician and Managing Director Cormac Cumiskey, Willex was built on a simple premise: Perth deserved an electrical contractor that combined genuine trade expertise with the kind of communication and reliability that clients could actually count on.
We’re not a franchise, not a call centre with subcontractors, and not a company that sends a different face to your site every time. We are a dedicated team of 50 skilled professionals — sparkie-trained, safety-certified, and locally rooted — with the capacity to handle everything from urgent residential faults to large-scale commercial fit-outs, all across Perth.
I'd spent two decades in the trade. I knew what a well-run electrical job actually looked like — and I knew it wasn't always what clients were getting.
Cormac Cumiskey has been a working electrician for over 20 years. That career has taken him across multiple countries and throughout Australia — from underground power networks and mining operations to large-scale commercial builds and industrial facilities. He has seen the full spectrum of how this industry operates: the great, the average, and the frustrating.
What Cormac noticed, time and again, was a gap. Clients — whether homeowners managing a renovation or project managers overseeing commercial fit-outs — often found themselves dealing with poor communication, inconsistent workmanship, missed deadlines, and a general lack of accountability once the invoice was sent.
He knew there was a better way to run a trade business. When Cormac launched Willex Electrical in July 2021, he brought with him not just two decades of technical expertise, but a genuine commitment to building a company where quality, honesty, and respect for the client weren’t extras — they were the baseline.
That philosophy runs through everything we do today: how we quote, how we show up on site, how we communicate through a job, and how we stand behind our work once it’s done.
Willex Electrical holds all required licences, certifications, and registrations to operate legally and safely across Western Australia.
Compliance & Safety: Every job completed by Willex Electrical is issued with a mandatory Electrical Safety Certificate in accordance with Western Australian regulations and the AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules. You’ll never be left wondering whether the work was done to code.

Cormac is a fully qualified electrician with over two decades of hands-on experience across residential, commercial, industrial, and mining electrical sectors. His career has spanned multiple countries and regions throughout Australia, giving him a depth of technical knowledge that few contractors can match.
He holds the Western Australian Electrical Contractor Licence EC14820 and remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations and quality control of Willex Electrical.
